Mission Statement

It is the mission of this site, MarketLinking.com, to provide useful, relevant and unbiased information about institutionally issued market linking and indexed products.  An institutionally issued product is one issued by either a bank or an insurance company.  Market linked products are technically termed ‘structured products’ and can be issued by a variety of financial entities.  However, a key structural component of market linking is the guarantee of the depositor’s principal.  Therefore, institutionally issued market linking products form a risk class of either bank guaranteed or insurance guaranteed products.

Our mission is to compile as complete a knowledge-base on institutionally issued market linking products  as feasible, including performance history, suggested methods of selection and product analysis, strategies for use of the products in financial and retirement planning and tools to model potential performance and impacts on financial plans.  We will make every effort to assure that this information is complete, accurate and current.

Since knowledge is only the first step, we will maintain a list of retail sellers of these products who are independent of the providers of the product and who offer a spectrum of products.  Please notify us of any complaints or comments about these retailers.
